Glass Block Specialties by Bruno was established on April 1st of 2009 by former employees of Glass Block of America. It is comprised of three individuals from varying backgrounds with a common desire to provide the highest quality glass block and installations at a fair price.
We're located in the heart of beautiful Downtown Erie, Pennsylvania on the corner of East 9th and French Street. We are just south of the historic Warner Theater and the Louis J. Tullio Arena, directly west of Jerry Uht Park.
Glass Block of America, a national chain with a corporate office located in Medina, Ohio took over control of the Erie, Pennsylvania market in October of 2005. It was a turnkey merger with Lou Bruno and the former employees of Bruno Glass Block. They operated Glass Block of America: Erie from 2005 until 2008, and served the North East Ohio, Western Pennsylvania, and Western New York markets. They provided the regions with the highest quality glass block sales and installations available. Due to the downturn in the economy, Glass Block of America closed all of its branches and retreated from the struggling residential markets, closing the Erie office on November 25th, 2008. Faced with an uncertain future, Louis A. Bruno, Joseph R. Arneman, and Kevin Matczak knew they could count on one thing, each other. This partnership resulted in the birth of Glass Block Specialties by Bruno.
